The Thai Cuisine
The Thai Cuisine
Welcome again to my blog, what about your week? This week is the last week of this blog and I want to say thank you to all for the support to my and to my blog. This time the topic is about typical thai food, I hope you enjoy the theme.
Thai cuisine mixes the flavors in the same dish in a unique way. The same dish can be sweet, sour, salty and spicy at the same time.
Pad Thai
Pad Thai is surely one of the most popular dishes of Thai cuisine in the West. It consists of rice noodles sautéed with chicken, shrimp or tofu and seasoned with fish sauce, soy sauce, egg, lime, chili and sugar. They are usually served with chopped peanuts on top. Pad Thai is one of the star dishes of street food and you will find many stalls where you can try it at a good price. A dish that yes or yes you should eat in Thailand
Som Tam
Som Tam is a papaya salad typical of the Isan region, the largest and most populous area in Thailand and the least visited. In addition to papaya, it has chili, garlic, tomato and peanuts. It is dressed with a fish sauce (pla raa).
Kuai Tieow
Thailand's quintessential nodel soup. The Kuai Tieow is the dinner of half the country and it is sold in almost every corner. It is basically a humble street or restaurant dish. There are endless variants of Kuai Tieow.
Almost every paradita has its own style, both with the noodles and with the broth or the fish, tofu or chicken balls. It is a dish that is made in a moment by simply quickly soaking the noodles in the boiling broth and adding the rest of the ingredients. In a couple of minutes you have it on the table.
Kai/Mu Satae
Kai Satae are chicken skewers while Mu Satae is pork. The skewers are barbecued and a delicious peanut salad is eaten. It is an Indonesian dish adapted by the Thais that is often seen and is used both for dinner, along with something else, and as a quick snack to kill hunger.
Tom Yum Goong
Tom Yum Goong is one of the most famous Thai soups. It is a spicy soup that is served with prawns, chili, tomato, lime, mushrooms... It is eaten hot and its flavor is quite intense. A comforting dish like no other.
Kai Med Ma Muang
Kai Med Ma Muang is a chicken stir fry with fried cashew nuts, along with other vegetables. It is sautéed in the wok and dressed with a delicious sauce based on soy sauce, oyster sauce and sugar. The sauce coats and caramelizes the chicken with the cashew nuts, resulting in a most appetizing typical Thai dish. The vegetables that usually accompany cashew chicken are onion, all kinds of chilies, garlic and spring onion.
Kai Jeow
Although an omelette is a universal food found all over the world, a Thai-style omelette with minced pork is very different from a normal Western-style omelette. It's literally fried in vegetable oil, emerging as an oily, crispy, salty, and delicious rash.
This savory Thai favorite can be enjoyed at almost any restaurant or stall that serves rice.
Pad Krapow
Pad Krapow is usually made with minced pork or chicken (it's also great with tofu), sautéed with Thai basil and lots of chillies. Thai basil has a very spicy flavor, while chili peppers add a strong dose of spice.
In case you don't tolerate spicy so well, ask the seller to make it "pet nit noi" (just a little spicy). The dish is served with white rice and topped with a "kai dao" egg, which is mixed with the rest of the dish for an unforgettable taste sensation.
Tom Kha Kai
Tom Kha Kai is a coconut milk chicken soup. This dish is also one of the most famous in Thai cuisine and is perfect for the cold of winter, although it can be eaten throughout the year. The taste of Tom Kha Kai soup is mild and aromatic. It is a slightly spicy soup, which makes it very appealing to those who are not used to very spicy flavors. Most typical Tom Kha Kai recipes include, apart from chicken (Kai) and coconut milk, galangal (Kha), kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, coriander, mushrooms, fish sauce and lime juice. Fried chili peppers are also often added on top.
Congee
One of the typical Thai breakfasts. It is mashed rice with beef, pork or chicken, it is quite thick and is very common in Thai food.
Guay Tieaw Moo
In Thai food, soups are very important and this is a very typical one in Thailand, you can find it in many streets of the country, you can also order it with pork, they are very tasty, they are luxurious, but be careful how they serve you because they usually be sooo hot.
Leaving aside the salty part, now I present to you some of the typical desserts of the country of the eternal smile
Sanay Chan
The name in Spanish could be translated as "charming". It is prepared by slowly cooking coconut milk and pieces of the same ingredient with egg yolk, rice flour, sugar, nutmeg and herbs.
It has a circular shape and is highly appreciated by the locals.
Khanom Chan
Known as a “layered dessert” because of the way it is made, it is a mixture of tapioca rice flour (starch extracted from cassava), coconut milk, and sugar. It has a gelatinous consistency and dyes are usually added to give it bright colors.
Khao Niao Mamuang
Thais are rice and mango lovers, so this recipe is ideal because it unites both ingredients. Sticky rice is cooked in coconut milk to give it a unique flavor and texture. It is then served with pieces of the fruit and some sesame seeds.
Thong foic
Curious threads made with egg yolk. The input is mixed with sugar and then spun in boiling water. It can be eaten alone or used as a complement to other desserts and even savory dishes.
This is all for this week and for the last part of the blog, I hope that you have enjoyed the blog, and for the last dynamic, please tell me what dish salty or sweet you want to taste and What did you think about the Blog?
